Shahzad Haider, MD
As a hospitalist, Dr. Shahzad Haider focuses on the care of patients in the hospital. He works with all specialists and care team members involved to develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for every patient. Dr. Haider's mission is to ensure exceptional care in the hospital and to safely transition all patients back to home.

Kourosh Houdsony, MD
Dr. Houdsony earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, in 1995.
He completed his residency in internal medicine at prince Hospital Center in Cheverly, MD, in 2011.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Houdsony focuses on providing patients with personalized care during their stay at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. Trained in internal medicine and experienced in delivering care in a hospital setting, he works with specialists and primary care physicians to ensure that each patient feels comfortable and confident in the care they are receiving.
Dr. Houdsony is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.



Yasser Khoudeir, MD, FACP
Dr. Khoudeir Graduated from Aleppo university, school of medicine in 1991, in the top 10% of his class. He completed residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, a program affiliated with the State University of New York. He served as chief resident in the final year of the program. Later, he practiced in Mt Carmel and Philladelphia, PA until 2014; when he relocated to Northern Virginia, and devoted his experience to deliver care for hospitalized patients, while working closely with their primary care physicians, to ensure that each patient receives the best care, and feels comfortable and confident in the treatment plan while they are in the hospital.
Dr Khoudeir is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.



Wesam Hussein-Moustafa, MD
Dr. Moustafa earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt in 1998. As a medical student, he completed a clerkship at Harvard Medical School’s Dana Farber Cancer Institute in
Boston, MA. Dr. Moustafa was then selected and completed an internship at Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Moustafa completed his Internal Medicine residency at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Pomona, NJ in 2010. During his residency he was the first intern awarded the Dr. Katz Award for his courtesy and care towards patients and colleagues. In Dr. Moustafa’s last year of residency, he was awarded
The Best Teaching Fellow Award by his colleagues.
Dr. Moustafa then completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Washington, D.C. Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. in 2012.
Dr. Moustafa is American board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Obesity Medicine.
Dr Moustafa has also served as the Chairman of the Ethics Committee and the Vice Chairman for the Department of Medicine at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, elected by his colleagues.
Currently, Dr Moustafa is the President of Medical Staff at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, elected by his colleagues.
Dr. Moustafa is dedicated to serving our patients at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. His main focus is providing patients with the best personalized care. He will continue to serve his community and fellow physicians with devotion and dedication.
